Policy Advocacy
SalakotPH promotes policies that protect communities, decent work, livelihoods, and the environment. Because there are no jobs on a dead planet, development decisions must be people-centered, evidence-based, and community-approved.
Advocacy Priorities

Decent Work and Livelihood Protection
Policies should protect existing livelihoods, create decent work, and prevent displacement or exploitation.

Community Impact Assessment
No business or development project should proceed without independent and community-based assessment of possible impact to the environment and people.

Community Participation and Consent
Affected communities should not merely be consulted; they should meaningfully participate in decisions.

Climate-Resilient Local Development
Local development should protect land, water, food systems, housing, and workers from climate and environmental risks.

Accountability and Anti-Corruption
Assessments, surveys, permits, and community consultations must be protected from bribery, manipulation, and intimidation.
